The secret of my melt in the mouth flavor is that I am hand crafted in small batches by the mountain women of Uttarakhand. Buying me directly helps small farmers of Uttarakhand Himalayan agriculture for sustainability and bringing socio economic development to Uttarakhand remote villages.
Core ingredient which gives me the velvety texture and wonderful aroma is the generous amount of Badri Cow ghee used in my preparation. Badri Cow is a pure breed (non-hybrid), native to the mountains of Uttarakhand. Badri cow grazes freely in the Himalayan Mountain Forests and feeds on the Herbs and Shrubs found there, that has High Medicinal value. Hence Ghee made with its nutrient rich A2 milk has amazing Health Benefits.
The crunchy and nutty flavor comes from Perilla Seeds also known as Bhangjeera in the local language. Bhangjeera is rich in Omega-3, Omega-6 and Omega-9 Fatty Acids which are very good for the heart, brain and skin. Bhangjeera seeds are also high in calcium, rich in vitamins & minerals like phosphorus, copper, iron, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Vitamin K.
